The Messy reality of children

One of the things that frustrates me most about having two small children, is that my clothes are always dirty. I mean always.

Emma dribbles a lot so I usually have a nice big dribble patch on my shoulder, arm or knee (or across my chest if she has fallen asleep in the Rose & Rebellion). Couple that with food covered hands from Daniel who will often reach out for a hug or kiss whilst he is eating means that I usually have the odd food stain across my clothes.

Coupled with having lost weight means that my wardrobe is very minimal. So, on Saturday when I spotted some nice clothes in George at Asda, I thought I would treat myself. An outfit for less than £25 means that I can mix & match things but also it's cheap enough to not worry too much if they pick up a stain that can't be removed.

So.. on Sunday afternoon we had a tired Emma who was struggling to settle and a ratty Daniel who has dropped his naps but still is a little tired come the afternoon. We decided to head to a small park up the road for a stroll. Emma sobbed the whole way but a cuddle with daddy and she soon went to sleep. Daniel was happy enough until he took a sudden tumble and split his lip.

There was a bit of blood and we thought it best to head home to clean him up and make sure he didn't need checking over. I carried him and ended up with a lovely blood stain all over the shoulder of my brand new cream top!

I then remembered that I had been sent some Elias Superwipes.

The wipes are designed for us on food and drink stains - most parents will know some stains if left just don't come out.

I used the wipes on my tshirt before I popped it in the wash.... and to my surprise it got most of the stain out! the rest will come out in the wash.

The wipes are like a soapy babywipes and you use in a circular motion on the affected area. it leaves the item damp, but it soon dries.

I was really impressed with how much of the blood it lifted out and how easy it was too, especially given the stitching detail on the shoulder of this top.

Whilst I was ironing last night  I spotted a fruit stain on Emma's leggings... I think it must be strawberry from earlier in the week. The stain hadn't come out in the wash, so I thought I would try the superwipes.

It lifted the stain right out - I am really impressed with this as we eat a lot of berries and they are a pain to get that stain out of clothes with - Daniel ruined many a top with raspberry in the early stages of weaning.

I am super impressed with these wipes, and have got a pack in the changing bag for when we are out and about. They even managed to lift a grease stain out of a pair of my trousers (I didn't take pictures as I didn't think it would lift the stain!).

All in all, these are a welcome addition to my changing bag, and will hopefully mean that my clothes stay more or less stain free!
