I had spent some time looking at dresses online and in various shops, but nothing seemed suitable. In the end I opted for a cheap dress from the Mamas & Papas sale which did the trick, but wasn't really what I had hoped for; it was a bit plain and I didn't feel it really flattered my early post-pregnancy body.
I was put in touch with the PR for a company called Tiffany Rose and was thrilled when they offered me the chance to review one of their stunning dresses. Unfortunately, the one I chose wasn't available in my size at the time.
However, since the dress arrived I have had the chance to wear it a couple of times, once for a leisurely afternoon barbecue and another at the weekend for our nieces confirmation service.

I had a look at the sizing guide and decided to opt for a Size 2 as I was inbetween a 10-12 at the time, however since selecting the dress I am more a size 10. The dress is a good fit - all too often I find that dresses can be overly generous but this one isn't. The lovely stretch material will accommodate someone more on the size 12 end of the scale, as well as someone like me more in the size 10.
I have had lots of comments about how lovely the dress is - and even now 15 weeks post-pregnancy and weighing less than I did before Daniel was born it is still a lovely, flattering fit.
I think you would be hard pushed to realise that this is a maternity dress.
At £119 the dress isn't cheap, but having said that you absolutely get your monies worth from this dress, and it will see you through pregnancy and beyond.
When I was pregnant with Emma we were invited to a wedding. I really struggled to find something to wear and ended up ordering in the region of seven different dresses from various websites. Again I optes for something that would do, rather than something I felt flattered by changing shape. Had I known about Tiffany Rose I would have treated myself to a dress from them. It would have been worn for the wedding, my birthday, Christmas and possibly new year - making the £119 price tag well worth it.
The fabric of the dress is really very soft and wonderfully cut - it really does feel like a well designed and constructed dress. Whilst I don't plan on being pregnant again anytime soon, this dress will form a key staple of my wardrobe should I be pregnant again in the future, and Tiffany Rose will be the first (and only!) website I go to for formal wear should we have any events to go to.
The fabric is cut well and I felt it really flattered by post-pregnancy body. It is practical for nursing Emma in and, most importantly it is really comfy to wear.
I honestly cannot say enough good things about this dress - take a look at the Tiffany Rose website to see some of the simply stunning maternity and nursing dresses that they have. All dresses are made in Britain and they have been seen on various celebrities in recent years.
Tiffany Rose state that their aim is 'to offer pregnant women the chance to wear exciting, elegant, beautiful and well-made designs for special occasions.' Well, I can agree that this dress is both elegant, beautiful and supremely well made.
Many of their dresses are a timeless design that will not go out of fashion, making any purchase a worthwhile investment. If like me you choose a style similar to the Alessandra dress then you will also have a dress that will see you through nursing and beyond.
The only problem you might have is to choose which dress you want!!
***Please note I was offered the opportunity to choose a dress made by Tiffany Rose in return for a fair and honest review. All words and opinions are my own***
