I was really excited to receive the Bravado nursing vest some months back, you can read a previous review for Bravado here.
As I intended to breastfeed, a nursing top like this seemed perfect. The top that I recieved is the Bravado Essential Nursing Tank in Suede Blush, and it was too small for me to wear whilst pregnant - despite only having a bump and not having gained more than a stone by the end of the pregnancy, but not to worry, I had planned to wear it post pregnancy anyway. The model on the website is pregnant, but I wasn't too concerned that I couldn't wear it whilst pregnant - I preferred to wear looser clothes.
The tank is a really nice colour - Suede Blush is a really vibrant pinky/orange colour - I find that all too often nursing wear is black, white or grey, so it was lovely to have something in a nice summery colour. It's quite a stretchy jersey type material that feels really soft, yet also tight enough to help tone those post baby tummies.
There is a built in bra underneath the top too which was a nice idea, providing support as required and the top unclips at the top of the cup for easy access when feeding. All that said, I have to say I was really disappointed with this top. I had Emma just under six weeks ago, yet this top is really uncomfortable to wear - it's almost like it's too small, despite me being back to less than my pre pregnancy weight and I find it really difficult to get on, as the elastic is really tight (see pics below right).

| This elastic here is too tight and makes putting the tank on quite difficult |
I have tried to wear it so many times, but it is just not working for me, and it's really disappointing. It feels like a quality item, and would be great to wear under a cardigan, particularly as we approach the warmer spring weather
I also found the clip really tricky to undo - more often than not I'm doing things one handed, and that includes unclipping the top/bra to feed Emma quickly.
The clip here pushes in then you feed it through, I found it really fiddly and impossible to do one handed.
Once I have managed to get the top on (and I wouldn't want to even attempt this is I was particularly well blessed or a larger lady!) it is OK to wear, it feels reasonably comfortable (if a little tight where the elastic sits) and the fabric is really really nice, and I love the colour. It just doesn't work for me on a practical level. I'm sure for some women this will be a great investment, and I am sure it will stand the test of time. I have washed it a couple of times and it has washed well too which is of course a nice plus. The length of the vest if great too, and it would be very unlikely to ride up and expose any skin etc.
Unfortunately, overall, its justnot for me.
*** I was sent a Bravado Essential Nursing Tank is return for a fair and honest review. All words and opinions are my own***

What a shame. I am a huge Bravado fan and love a lot of their clothes myself - like you say it is lovely to see some bright colours! Thanks for linking up with #TriedTested
